I recently (not very) read 'Shantaram', by gregory david roberts. Jonny Depp is making it into a film - and it is a great book, especially if you are interested in or have ever beem to India, and based around the authors own life and experiences in the Bombay Mafia.
AS I am travelling around at the moment, and not stuck on a beach - am not actually reading. The english translation of the Mahabharata got a bit boring, but I also have 'The Glasshouse' in my rucksack, but I cant remember who it is by. Will tell more when I get into it!
